In order to measure latency we are going to send a stream from port 1/1 to port 1/2 in you configuration. You will need to make sure that the stream contains the signatures and PGIDs at the same offset on both Tx and RX side.
Connect to
IxExplorer, login and take ownership on ports 1/1 and 1/2
I. Configuration of the TX port
Configure a stream on port 1/1 and check the offset for signature and PGIDs ( they should be set the same on Rx side)
Right click on Advanced Streams Window and chose to create a new stream
Double click on the stream and on Frame Data tab enable Instrumentation for time stamp and packet groups
II. Configuration of the RX ports
Click on port 1/2 and chose option Filter, Statistics, Receive
mode
On the new window open go to Receive Mode tab and enable
Wide Packet Groups. Automaticaly the tabs for Wide Packets Groups and Latency/Jitter will be
available.
On the Wide Packet Group tab verify that you have the same instrumentation set as on the Tx side
Add RX port in the view
Start collecting stats
The view display will be something like that
